MTSC #93

It seems that I’ve done another one of Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenges. Here’s the sketch:

Here is the card I made using the sketch:

Supplies used:

  • card blank and all papers from my stash
  • white & blue flowers from my stash
  • Metal Dots in copper from Colorbok
  • black rub-on sentiment from Making Memories Birthday 2 pack

MTSC #92

Here’s the sketch for Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenge:

And here is my card based on that sketch:

Unfortunately, the photo doesn’t do justice to the colors of the card. Both the blue and the black cardstock have a slight shimmer to them.

Supplies used:

  • Pearlescent Metallic cardstock in Sky from Paper and More
  • black Gemstones cardstock from Recollections
  • patterned paper from Anna Griffin
  • gold Stacked Oval Dazzles stickers from Hot Off the Press
  • Flowers Border Punch by Fiskars
  • foam tape by 3M

OWH Stars & Stamps #35

This is the sketch for this week from the OWH  Stars & Stamps challenge:

And here is the card I made based on the sketch:

I recently found these epoxy stickers and couldn’t wait to use one. I also did some piercing along both sides of the brown strip (easier to see if you click on the photo to see it larger).

Supplies used:

  • card blank and brown & tan card stock from my stash
  • patterned paper in Floral Crochet-Blue from Creating Keepsakes
  • brown pigment ink pad from ColorBox
  • organdy ribbon in gold from Jo-Ann Stores, Inc.
  • clear epoxy quote sticker from Cloud9 Design/Fiskars

Card-Making Again

We have just recently returned from our 7-week, summer RV trip, which was a blast. Usually I find time to make cards while traveling, but this summer I just didn’t have the “mojo”. I guess maybe I needed a break from my card-making for a while. Now that I’m home, the “mojo” seems to be back and I’ve already made a card which I’m fairly proud of.

I used sketch 76 from Card Patterns which was first published back in early August. I’m way too late to enter it into the weekly challenge. But I’m happy to take inspiration wherever it may appear.

I took some liberties, as usual. I really liked how it turned out, though.

Supplies:

  • black and tan cardstock from my stash
  • patterned paper from Mixing Jewel Patterned Papers by Paper Pizazz
  • large flower from Prima Marketing
  • “celebrate” rub-on from Making Memories
  • black button from my mother-in-law’s button tin, things she’d saved for years

Thanks for stopping by.
