S&S Sketch Challenge #61

It’s been a while since I’ve done a sketch challenge. For whatever reasons, the sketches have not been inspiring me as much lately. I’ve been going through old issues of CardMaker Magazine, which I’ve been receiving for several years now. I’ve gotten a lot of great ideas from doing that. The flower used on this card is straight out of the July 2007 issue.

Anyway, here is the sketch from OWH Stars & Stamps for this week.

Here is my card, based on the sketch:

card 087

The flower uses several paper hydrangeas, cut into pieces and glued together on a circle backing. I’ve had these flowers (from Prima Marketing) in my stash for ages and was thrilled to run across this great way to use up some of them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful flower – it really carries the card. I like the yellow accents in your paper and ribbon, too!
